The Renee Bigler Legacy Society honors the vision, compassion, and determination of our beloved founder, Renee Holt Bigler, whose extraordinary life continues to shape the future of Pathways.

In 1981, when few resources existed for individuals living with severe mental illness, Renee recognized a need close to home through her son, Matthew Barclay Brown III, and took action.

Renee’s life was rooted in family and service. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was also a passionate gardener, an accomplished traveler, and a lifelong friend to many. Though she received numerous awards for her dedication to others, it was her humility and tireless advocacy that truly set her apart.

Today, the Renee Bigler Legacy Society ensures that her voice and vision live on. By including Pathways in your estate plans, you join a circle of supporters committed to protecting and expanding the mission Renee began to provide safe homes, supportive programs, and a compassionate community for individuals living with mental illness.

Through this enduring commitment, we can ensure that Pathways remains a place of healing, stability, and opportunity for generations to come.
